Dead Are We Productions is a collective house of creativity based in Chicago, made up of friends who are passionate, curious, and a little obsessed with the art of storytelling, especially in the shadowy corners of film. Some of us have professional film credits under our belt. Others are still learning the ropes, figuring things out one shoot at a time, exploring the unknown as we go. Our productions range from intimate shorts to larger, more ambitious projects, but no matter the scale, we treat every set with the same care, creativity, and professionalism.

We work on each other’s films, share our skills, and challenge one another to grow. Every shoot is an opportunity to learn, experiment, and push toward something bigger than ourselves. We believe that the process of creating is just as important as finishing the film. Our meetings might take place over Zoom, at a cigar lounge, or at the local bar—but they always spark ideas, laughter, and collaboration.
